During the United Nation Climate Conference in
Copenhagen,
the students in 4e4 encourage all teens to start mobilizing.
They have organised an event at the school library because we stand at a crossroads and there are alternatives to stop over-production for over-consumption.
Climate change is already impacting many people.

A call to climate action
We call on all teens to mobilize and take action against the root causes of climate change and we porpose 4 main solutions according to the following website:
http://www.mycarbonfootprint.eu
Turn down
We can reduce carbon emissions simply by turning down our household appliances. Reduce the
temperature of our home, replace our old single-gazed windows with double-gazed ones and increase the performance of our fridge.
Switch off
When we aren't using an appliance, we switch it off, right? Actually no, even when
our televisions, DVD players and stereos are on standby they are still consuming energy and producing carbon emissions.
Recycle
Everyone knows that recycling is good for the environment. But minimising our carbon footprint
isn't just thinking about how we dispose of waste, it's also thinking about packaging and other non-recyclable products before we buy.
Walk
Now it's time to think about the impact our transportation has on the environment. We can walk to school, travel by train instead of travelling by car or by plane and replace our short car journeys with biking.
